Deco Sofas, Art Deco Club Chairs, Art Deco Seating.
Deco-Dence is pleased to offer our custom line of upholstered
Art Deco sofas, Art Deco club chairs and Art Deco seating
gallery of original Art Deco designs custom produced in your
choice of materials, sizes and construction.
Our custom Art Deco sofas, Art Deco club chairs and Art Deco
seating is among the finest in hand finished upholstered seating
available in the United States today, employing old world
quality craftsmanship and skills. We build each Art Deco chair
or Art Deco sofa one at a time per customer specification,
paying close attention to the details so you will be happy for
many years into the future.
The Art Deco sofas and Art Deco club chairs that follow on this
page and subsequent pages are original designs from the Art Deco
period, many still in their original upholstery. We build new
frames based on the original Art Deco seating designs.
You may customize the seating design if you wish, just call and
we will work with you to modify any of the designs to suit your
specific needs. Many of these seating designs are also perfect
as media room seating.
Each Art Deco seating design may be ordered in a club chair, 2
seat settee and a 3 seat sofa size. A matching ottoman may be
designed for many of the designs; please inquire.
Prices include labor to build the frame and to install the
material of choice. Material costs are in addition to the labor
and, of course, are greatly influenced by the quality of
material used. You can determine the approximate material cost
by multiplying the material cost per square yard times the
number of yards indicated.
You may select material from your own favorite store and have
shipped to us or we can assist with your selection from our
quality sources. Please see the links below to peruse several
recommended high quality material sources for our custom
seating.
All orders require 60% down of total price to begin work. 20% is
due when the actual upholstery work begins with the final 20%
balance due upon completion. It takes on average 8 to 12 weeks
to produce a completed design although the time required may
vary. Shipping and delivery is additional. Art Deco seating
designs with larger amounts of wood trim requiring detailed
finish work may take longer to complete.
Deco-Dence has accounts at
several of the leading fabric houses in the nation. Three that
we recommend for your fabric, leather and naugahyde selections
are listed below. They are all to the trade but if you see a
material that you are interested in for your seating order, we
will be happy to check availability and pricing and have samples
sent directly to your home for you to review in the comfort of
your home.
Deco-Dence maintains an account with Oakwood Veneer Company, one
of the leading exotic and burl wood veneer sources in the
nation. Oakwood Veneer Company's website showcases dozens of the
most beautiful and exotic veneers in the world and allow our
clients to choose veneers that suit their specific needs for
chair designs requiring a veneer selection.
We recommend Kravet Couture for an exceptional line of fabric
offerings that covers a wide gamut of styles, materials and
price points. Kravet has one of the finest selections of
exceptional mohairs and velvets in the country. The link below
will take you to their website page where a screen allows you to
input the criteria you desire for the fabrics you're looking
for, and returns images of the fabrics that meet your
specifications. You can then click on the fabric images to
obtain more detailed information for each.
For leather we recommend a company called "Asher Leathers". They
offer exceptional quality along various price points and offer
custom dying if you wish (although a certain minimum order is
required for the custom dying option).
For a selection of naugahydes that are so well executed that
they look and feel like leather but at a much more reasonable
price point than leather, we recommend a company called Burch
Fabrics. In addition to naugahydes Burch offers a wide array of
fabrics, leathers, suedes, and other materials from which to
select.
For those seating designs requiring the selection of exotic
veneers, please go to the Oakwood Veneer Company website to
peruse dozens of exotic and burl wood veneers. Deco-Dence is
pleased to send finished veneer samples to clients who have
placed their order for seating so that you may see your veneer
choices in the comfort of your home prior to finalizing your
veneer decision.
Any questions about the three sources for material or the exotic
veneer source, please e-mail or call. Thank you!

and ultra-luxe Italian birdseye maple with American burled elm
to create the same luxurious effect. You may select the veneers
of your choice to create your own custom design that works best

exquisite veneers in the exact same manner as the old world
craftsmen of the Art Deco era to create a truly custom work of
art that is functional, beautiful and striking. Art Deco seating
